Thillana Restaurant - Thanjāvūr

I arrived in the late afternoon of 1st November at Hotel Sangam in Tanjore. I was very tired for the long day spent in visiting beautiful temples, so I took a shower and I asked for dinner. In the evening Thillana restaurant opens at 7pm...but you can also order room service and, in 20 minutes, you will be served. I went to the restaurant: all tables well prepared with fresh flowers and very kind staff lead you to your table. You can choose for buffet or dinner a la carte. I chose a la carte: delicious coriander soup and vegetables. I appreciated very much when the waiter explained to me the spicy and not spicy foods... In India spicy food is really... spicy! Everything was well cooked and served with competence and kindness: I enjoyed the dinner very much.

We went to Thillana after the reviews. The buffet was excellent with Indian Chinese and continental products. Good value for money. It's a friendly restaurant staff. Really impressed

Thillana Restaurant is conveniently located in a central area and easily accessible. The staff is friendly and provides prompt service. The food is delicious and of high quality.

I had lunch and dinner at this hotel restaurant. Both meals were delicious and we'll cooked. The staff has not the best English but try their best and help you where needed. Prices are mid-range, due to the clean kitchen.
