During my recent visit to Tanjore, my relative recommended Thevars Biryani hotel, a popular spot for non-vegetarian dishes in Tanjore. We ordered mutton and chicken biryani, with the mutton biryani priced at around 220 rupees. The mutton pieces were tender and well-prepared. The Seeraga samba Biryani had a subtle aroma and a distinct homemade flavor. The portion size was generous and satisfying. When I shared my experience on my YouTube community page, many agreed with my positive review, although some felt that the restaurant had lost its original taste. Nevertheless, if you find yourself in Tanjore, I recommend trying their biryani. The restaurant offers both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned seating options, making it suitable for families. Additionally, there is paid parking available directly across from the restaurant, so parking your car is convenient and hassle-free.
The food is average, not very tasty. Portions are smaller than expected for a quality meal. The meat also lacks flavor. It is inexpensive.
Had lunch from there. Not veg thali meals are called in their meu. Only the heaviness was there and there was a piece of chicken neck in the chicken engraving. Please avoid, if possible.
Great Biryani. Tried bot Chicken and Mutton. Fish fry was nice. Quantity was adequate. No parking if you go by car. So plan accordingly.
