Whilst on a visit to the area we pooed into my old family pub, where we met Alec, we explained the purpose of our visit and e was so accomidating explain the changes that had been made, amongst other things, the food was amazing and the service incredible
Live local and popped in for lunch, beautiful BBQ buttermilk chicken burger with rosemary fries with homemade coleslaw, all for £12.50. Amazing food, very friendly staff and some lovely Brixton IPA's on tap.
Lovely clean room and bathroom. Keyless entry system so no lost keys Breakfast continental. Waterloo room for all guests to use as extra space. Marzena was a lovely host. Would definitely go back
This aspires to be a ‘Boutique’ hotel but falls a little short. The hotel is clean and well decorated. The continental breakfast was unimaginative – it was adequate but limited in choice. It’s also worth mentioning that you may have to bring your own toilet paper and do your own washing up*! We were looking forward to our stay at The Falstaff and apart from being put in a room right at the top of the building which was reached by narrow winding stairs it started well. We were provided with tea, coffee, water and biscuits. We stayed for 3 nights and during our stay our room was not serviced. Now, I don’t mind making my own bed but we were left with dirty cups so I went down the narrow winding staircase to reception with the dirty cups, explained that our room hadn’t been serviced and asked for clean cups which were provided – no apology or explanation given. I also mentioned that we would need more toilet paper the following day I was told a note would be made. However, on returning to our room at 9:30pm the following evening we found the room had not been tidied again and we had 2 dirty cups* and very little toilet paper. There was nobody on duty at that time so we had to source our own paper – not easy at that time of night. The next morning we at least received an apology. We were so disappointed especially as we had read other glowing reviews of The Falstaff.
