The Curious Cupcake Cafe - Thanet

I thought I would spend a nice day at the sea in margate, I would have heard that it had become quite hipster trendy in the last 20 years, so a day trip from london seemed like a big curse. it has not, it is an absolute hole and there are no good places to eat or drink. the service was wonderfully friendly, uplifted and efficient. the outside seats are located in a beautiful lawn of a quiet courtyard in the vintage shop area of the city, and the caffe itself is an easy walking shabby chic furnished, perfect for relaxing with a cuppa. the coffee was good, the cake was amazing, the prices appropriate. my hour I spent here with my book, I really liked it. A pity that the rest of margate cannot meet these standards.

Can't fault it. Service always lovely. Cakes always amazing. My personal favourite is the bacon, brie and sweet chilli jam sandwich. Only downside is sometimes you can't get a table as it's so busy!

It hasn’t, it’s an absolute hole and there are no good places to eat or drink. EXCEPT HERE. The service was wonderfully friendly, upbeat and efficient. The outdoor seating is in a lovely suntrap of a quiet courtyard in the vintage shop-area of town, and the cafe itself is an easygoing shabby chic set up, perfect for relaxing with a cuppa. The coffee was good, the cake was AMAZING, the prices reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyed my hour spent here with my book. Shame the rest of Margate can’t meet these standards.

A beautiful coffee spot in the heart of margate. very nice people working here and very good eating. here you will find toasts bagels sandwiches, sweet and hearty.
