Costa Coffee - Thanet

Many cafes close after lunch, but this restaurant was one of the few still open to grab a hot drink in the late afternoon. When we arrived at around 4:30pm, many of the cakes were already sold out, but they still had vegan ham and cheese toasties available. I decided to try a vegan chai tea latte with oat milk, which was delicious. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options, although there weren't a wide variety available during my visit. They were able to advise on which products were completely vegan.

I popped in unsure of what to get, But Thomas was there ready to put some surety into my mind. It was only a takeaway but the short exchange I had was enough to compel me to write a review. Thomas made an excellent coffee but what made it worth it was the funny and engaging conversation he brought. Costa may have to be my new coffee stop in Broadstairs.

I would usually give this Costa a 5/5 as it is usually amazing, but wasn't impressed on this visit as there was flys on the cakes, the tables were dirty and had flys on them. The staff were awkward on the visit.

My Mum and I went in for a coffee and quick lunch thankfully we chose toasties all wrapped up as when we were waiting to pay we could see flies all over the small cakes!! This put us off ever going again i should have told the staff while in there but there was a queue so i have sent an email to the appropiate people as this cant be a one off judging by the flies on there! This place needs a deep clean and upgrade obviously to sort this out. yuk check the cakes people! or anything left in the open!

Does the job. could do with some love and attention, staff are quite cheery but there is no warmth to the place
