Very poor service from outset, considering it wasn’t busy (Tuesday lunch . Took about 15 mins plus to order a drink from our table, had to find someone and then the server took the order incorrectly. Ordered food which took an hour to arrive. I had a nourish bowl which on a previous visit was very good, however today no cauliflower but replaced with hard broccoli instead and cold rubbery halloumi on top. The roasted cauliflower was listed on the menu so surely should have been advised that it was going to be replaced (potential allergy risk?! Rest of the tables food was also very poor, like it had been hanging around. It’s unfortunate as on my last visit the service wasn’t great but thought we’d give the place the benefit of the doubt but after this visit I shall not return, dread to think what weekend service would be like. Was asked if we wanted to speak to the Manager but was pushed for time by this point and if it was hard to track down a server, I’d no idea how long it’d take to track the manager down! Who were these lucky people that got good service and food?!

Went to lunch and very very disappointed party of 4 and it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive cold over cooked and not very good.. I ordered a fillet steak sandwich and it’s was very poor I was asked how I wanted it cooked and I said medium but it was so thin it tasted like cardboard asked do side salad and got chips.. I won’t go into the rest of the tables dishes but for £13 it’s very very poor.. Food: 1

We had a tremendous lunch at the Albany! All starters and mains arrived promptly, and we’re all delicious. Compliments to the chef and the staff who made our day! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Roast Beef, Duck Liver Port Parfait, Creamy Mushrooms, Half Roasted Chicken

The outside area was filthy with bird droppings and flies buzzing around. Inside. We were the only customers inside. The service was atrocious. I have never experienced anything like it ever. I have been using this pub for 25 years or more. Food nice but 40mins post order . Mains delivered to the table, server disappeared, and I had to go and find the salt and pepper from a stack, and then find the server to ask for mustard. Gammon steak,-no steak knife, had to be requested. Pudding no fresh napkins. Lattes came out lukewarm, I again went and found a server they were sent back . The the bill arrived with an insulting service charge . I was not inclined to pay, this but our kind ladies pointed out it was not the fault of the server personally but the fault of the management who clearly had never trained the poor girl . Some senior manager needs to get grip of the management at this place. Very disappointing. I will be most interested to hear the company response., Parking: Good size car park
