Water Hole 2 - Texola

The restaurant was closed on Saturday. It looked great from the outside, but we drove an hour and a half to get there.

This charming little spot features a lovely art and gift shop, but unfortunately, the food is not worth the high prices. I paid $4 for a hot dog that came with a tiny handful of chips, and $2 for a very small cup of juice. The grilled cheese was burnt, and the fries were drenched in grease and also overcooked. It didn’t feel like a grill at all, especially with the constant sound of the microwave in the back. The condiments were old—my ketchup was brown—and some packets looked like they had been repurposed from other fast food chains. I won’t be returning, but it was nice to check it out, I suppose.

Very friendly, knowledgeable about area. Great food! Texas and Oklahoma Souvenirs. It's a CAFÉ AND MORE.
