La Gardenia - Texas City

I have been dining at this restaurant for years and the food has always been excellent. However, this recent visit left me disappointed.

This restaurant serves some of the most authentic Mexican cuisine in Texas City. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you are well taken care of. I believe you won't find better Mexican food anywhere else. Today, I tried the chili relleno and it was an excellent choice. My friend had the enchiladas and enjoyed them as well.

As an American, I always seek out great restaurants that embody three key elements. This place is hands down the best rotisserie chicken in Europe, and I have been to many places. I applaud this fantastic family for the amazing dining experience they have created.

Great tasting food at reasonable prices...Always great service

The surprise burrito I ordered was cold, even though the ingredients were displayed on a steam table. The tortillas had been left outside and were also cold. The lady working in the food preparation area did not use gloves. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant despite the good things I had heard about it.
