6th St Garage - Texas City

The establishment is called The Big Easy, not the garage, and it's fantastic! They serve delicious Louisiana-style cuisine with great happy hour prices and a lively atmosphere. There are about 18 big-screen TVs to enjoy as well. I highly recommend checking it out! The previous owners are gone, and it's now run by a corporation that focuses on excellent customer service, tasty food, and drinks. The staff is very attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience.

I had a fantastic dining experience here for lunch! The food was exceptional, earning a perfect rating of 5 out of 5. I especially enjoyed the wings and bone-in wings; they are must-try dishes. Service was equally impressive, also rated 5 out of 5. The staff was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. As for the atmosphere, it was vibrant and inviting, deserving a solid 5 as well. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful lunch!

I would have given this place five stars, but the service was just terrible! My husband and I ordered chips and our meals, but the appetizer never arrived and my husband’s meal was “forgotten.” We had to flag down a different waitress just to get our appetizer and a drink refill. The bartender was rude and ignored us while she was on her phone, flirting with single men at the bar! The atmosphere is wonderful, but it’s a shame the owner doesn’t seem to care enough to hire competent staff. I’m sorry to say, but this restaurant really misses the mark. They attempted to make a comeback, but it feels like they’ve just hired a bunch of unreliable staff, and the menu is confusing and overpriced. I waited a staggering 45 minutes just for an order of nachos! To make matters worse, I made a batch of chili that ended up moldy in the steam tray the next day because it wasn’t cleaned properly. I also noticed raw meat stored on the shelf above fresh produce in the fridge, which is concerning. And more often than not, they’re closed due to issues with their staff. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place!

The food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised to find live music, which made the experience even better for the family. Since we haven't had the chance to enjoy live music since the COVID-19 pandemic, it truly felt like the cherry on top. Service: Dine-in.
