Really great host went above and beyond in keeping the kitchen open for us when we arrived for check-in as it was closing. Whilst not right on the water (downhill slightly, between the cabin and lake there's a quiet road mostly hidden by trees) nice large cabin with well equipped kitchen and a fireplace, which we used in August! As I now assume to be Norwegian standard, you do have to make the bed yourself on arrival (even with the additional cost of linen), you also have to pay an additional fee if you don't want to clean the cabin yourself after your stay. But I found the total cost of our stay even with these additional costs to be very reasonable.

Beautiful place near a beautiful lake. the staff was very friendly. traditional Norwegian cuisine with a vegan dish. prices are decent, in particular for the quantity of food. we had a nice time here with a group of 14.

Big mountain trout! we had a quick dinner here. the service and the personal made this visit unforgettable. if they happen I would recommend a fast meal or a sarg with homemade ice

More beautiful place to stay if you have the picturesque route 51 (valdresflye) and besseggen cool hike. also not far from the clay. great cabins.

Pretty good, not too much or too little to eat. we didn't get what we ordered in the menu. it explained mountain trout, but salmon was served instead without saying it before. if they want to be sure what they get, ask them what is on the menu today, instead of just looking at the card. but not much because it was good anyway. they have made adjustments to our request (fries instead of kartoffeln) and the gastfreundschaft was overall good. would go again.
