Tapas Y Copas - Teruel

Our party “ hose” this tapas bar for Sunday lunch yesterday in Teruel, not least because all of the other places on the Paseo Ovalo were rammed. We should have guessed. Tortuously slow service at one point the waitress simply declined to take our food order, since the kitchen couldn’t cope, (though they were happy to continue to ply us with wine). Staff were perhaps surly (though probably from being totally overloaded), and the food was average. The fundamental problem appears to be one of management, with the (tiny) kitchen and the meagre waiting staff being totally overwhelmed (our issue was shared by many of the tables around us). It was in the middle of a national holiday, and all the restaurants were rammed, but don’t thing that excuses a significantly under par performance.

I ate like a horse in the restaurant ordering a 12,5€ menu. Two big plates and desert. The amount of food given in each meal is scandalous and the good part is that the food was so much better than expected. I felt that I was eating real homemade spanish food. Also, the place is in a fantastic situation so I had a great experience.

Good choice of ítems for the daily menú, good quality food and a very efficient and fast service. With fine weather you can enjoy sitting outside in the sun.

Comida relación calidad precio aceptable. Las tapas no están mal, pero tampoco espectaculares. Nos ha parecido caro la ración de jamón y queso (14€ para 5 trocitos de queso y jamón en lonchas. El croquetón sin duda estaba buenísimo! Las patatas 4 queso, bien, tampoco gran gastronomía. El servicio, bien. Las camareras fueron simpáticas. En resumen, las raciones están bien menos el plato de jamón y queso, comida buena, relación calidad/ precio algo caro si vas a carta, nos costó 46€ para dos personas y tampoco pedimos muchas cosas. Creo que sí volvemos algún día pediremos el menú del día que vale 20€/persona y tiene buena pinta. Ubicación del bar, bien, la zona es tranquila.
