Contribuiți la feedbackWe celebrated a special occasion at this restaurant, and the food exceeded our expectations. We ordered the beef cheek tapas (which was a special), the scallop with pesto tapas, and the pork belly pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.
I had a fantastic evening! As a food enthusiast, I was thoroughly impressed with all the dishes. We started with several shared plates (it was tough to choose, given the abundance of great options), but everything we tasted was amazing. We also shared two pizzas among four of us, and they were perfect. For dessert, we indulged in a sticky date pudding with ice cream (I’m usually not one for desserts, but I’m so glad I made an exception). It was absolutely mouthwatering and delightful. The cocktails are a must-try, and the coffee is excellent as well. Everything was superb, and I will definitely be returning. This is the best restaurant in Terrigal!
If you're in Terrigal, especially over a long weekend, don't miss this restaurant—it offers delicious food without any holiday surcharges. I took my partner there for dinner on Easter Monday, and despite it being a busy public holiday, we were seated right away and enjoyed our meal outdoors. **Food:** Absolutely delightful! We opted for four tapas dishes instead of the pizza. 1. **Fried Chicken Wings:** These were incredible—five perfectly cooked drumsticks and wings. The batter was light, fluffy, and crispy, while the meat was incredibly juicy. I've had fried wings at many places, but they often fall short due to being too dry, greasy, or overloaded with batter. If you're a fan of fried wings, I highly recommend this place; they nailed the balance perfectly! The wings were served with a delicious chili jam that complemented them beautifully. 2. **Banana Prawns:** The prawns tasted remarkably fresh and came with a tasty garlic sauce. We received eight prawns, which is more generous than most tapas spots I've visited that usually serve only six. I might be biased here since I adore prawns, and garlic lemon butter is my favorite seafood sauce. 3. **Lamb Empanadas:** These were the surprise hit of the night. We got four, and the lamb filling was fresh and flavorful—clearly slow-cooked, not the usual processed mince. I was thrilled with this choice; they were unique and delicious, and the pastry was just the right texture—not too heavy or dry. 4. **Chicken Taco Special:** This came with three soft tacos filled with grilled chicken and a bit of salad. While it was tasty, I found it a bit dry and not as flavorful as our other dishes. **Drinks:** We enjoyed some fantastic drinks. I ordered a special chocolatey Frangelico cocktail in honor of Easter, and my partner opted for a glass of Moscato. Cocktail prices average around $20, with a diverse selection of both classic and house specials. The Moscato was $9 a glass—definitely a good price. **Cost:** The value for money here is exceptional! First off, there’s no holiday surcharge—it's a rare find these days for such quality. Each tapas plate was $18, which is standard, but the portion sizes were surprisingly generous. If you don't drink, you could easily enjoy three tapas and water for under $60 on a public holiday. **Service:** Our experience with service was great. We were seated immediately as walk-ins, and the staff were polite, professional, and welcoming. They promptly organized our water and delivered drinks efficiently. The food came out quickly, with each dish arriving every 5-10 minutes, so we never experienced any awkward waits. **Overall:** This is clearly a well-run establishment with talented chefs and attentive front-of-house staff. I look forward to returning to try more seafood and pizza options!
With no reservation on a Sunday night, we were greeted with a smile and a “no problem, we’ll fit you in”. The service was amazing! Quick yet enough time to enjoy the entrees before the main meal. The food was delicious! The owners were so friendly which made the evening so enjoyable. I’m recommending Four Hands to anyone who would like to spend a chilled evening with great food in a friendly atmosphere!
In a truly competitive market, amongst the restaurants, bars, and cafes of Terrigal, is Four Hands. I have, since it opened, been back countless times. As other restaurants have come and gone, Four Hands has remained; and there’s a reason… one that goes far beyond the latest decor, or fashionable trend in the eating experience… consistency. The Menu, the people, the atmosphere, the options… regardless of ‘who’ is offering you ‘what’, and ‘when’ that is (your first or fiftieth visit), the character of the food, that perfect blend of familiar and foreign, that meal that no matter how many times you’ve had it, leaving you content, draws you back again… it never changes, it never goes away. It’s truly rare that, given the disposable nature of our experiences, our expectations can be surprised by wanting to return to something ‘we’ve already had’… but that’s this place. If you think the above is all a bit much, and you just want to know about the food… just try the Pork Belly and those Chicken Wings, follow it with a Duck Pizza and a selection of cocktails, and you won’t regret it.
