Le Due Sorelle - TERRACINA

Not meant to be a fancy place, but it does its job. Pasta portions are huge, I recommend the vongole option which was really good even though swimming in oil. Fried fish is also good, but not as generous portions; frittura di paranza much better compared to the calamari one. Service could be improved, those girls could throw a smile here and there. With 20 EUR/person it's possible to get a complete meal. Surprisingly, no credit cards accepted whatsoever.

We ate at Le Due Sorelle tonight for the first time and have already booked to go again before we leave. The hosts were accommodating to what was clearly a fully booked restaurant but they squeezed us in. The food was DELICIOUS. We started with the biggest bowl of fresh mussels and a portion of baby squid to share. Oh how we underestimated the portion sizes! Then my husband ordered the half lobster linguine and I ordered the seafood risotto. Full of fish and a tasty sauce to accompany it. The photos don't do it justice. So many beautiful flavours. For €60 We had all this plus half a litre of house wine and a large Peroni and water. It was perfect. The staff were super friendly and we cannot wait to go back on out last night in Italy. BELLISIMO! Grazie.

Living in Italy, we know perfectly that the food is not always the same if you are foreigner or local. Normally, this rule applied in big trattorias where there are often a dedicate room for tourists . Don't dream, in Italy, prices and food are not everywhere the same for everybody. ... The Due Sorelle is a small restaurant family run where normally this kind of discourtesy doesn't applied. MAGARI.... We paid the fix price for a friday fish menue that eveybody paid but same dishes, different cooking: ingedients missing, poor portions and all this very openly in a small place where you can perfectly see how look the plate of your neighbour . But the worse was that what we ate was prepared very very quickley starters: risotto and pasta in 7 mns.... without any care: too salty, poorly cook... obviously the Chef Sister was only concentrate on the her fellow Volterrians. The white wine della casa we had was also terrible ... Please, fellow travellers and goumets and gentle men and ladies, avoid this adress and let le Due Sorelle be a local restaurant.... for locals only. That what they wish for obviously.

Euro, antipasto: souto di cozze, moscardino,alici, un primo risotto di mare, un secondo, dentato dal prezzo veramente esagerato, un contorno, acqua,vino della casa, una grappa. I corsi sono lasciati sul tavolo e devi usarlo da solo, la qualità è mediocre. Fare euro a persona è il più vergognoso che abbia mai avuto.

Prenotato per il primo turno... personale molto bello. casalinga locale . vari antipasto... sauté di cozze, moscardini fritti,frittura di calamari. Molto bene! primi piatti.spaghetti con vongole, risotto con crema di scampi. Bene ma un po' asciutto. prezzo ragionevole.
