Ucraino Kozak - TERNI

I had wanted to try this restaurant for a very long time but wasn't able to because of lockdowns. Living in a small town is not that fun when you like to try food from different countries plus some colleagues warmly recommended it. I finally managed to go after Christmas. I had heard very nice feedbacks about it but it really was beyond expectations. First of all, the owner is adorable, polite and friendly, he answered all our questions about food and living in Ukraine (we wanted to go this summer). The food is delicious, I'm not really into fish so I can't appreciate the herring starters but everyone said they are special. Also, I'm not really a carnivore, but meat there is super tasty, in whichever way you want to order it, so I always go for it whenever we go there. I loved the Georgian red wine, so I bought a bottle to go. I've never liked vodka, but their signature one is smooth and doesn't give you headaches at all. Also, they usually play (often live) Ukrainian music, which is very interesting. Terrace is a nice plus in summer. So yeah, really recommended!!

Excellent food, rooftop views and attentive service. Andrea and his daughter were excellent hosts to accompany the delicious food. Don’t miss the Shuba! Lovely house red, and our favorite beer so far: baltika.
