La Luna Mextli - Tepoztlán

Excellent food that Guacamole was excellent and generous, quesadillas, queso fundido, parilla were all delicious. It is typical mexicain decor, very quiet right next to the church and market. We are usually picky with food and we came here twice in two days.

We were really disappointed here. They'd think if they've been in business for over 30 years, they'd be pretty good. But the food was mediocre. The fatuccine carbonara was bland and quite tasteless. Sopa Azteca had a good broth, but much too little of it. There were also ways to many corn chips and no avocado or cheese. The salad was okay, but I had to ask for more dressing because there was hardly anything. Although there were only a few people here, the service was slow. The dining room is beautiful as it is located in a courtyard. But the beautiful ambience does not turn out to be a good meal.

La Luna Mextli is a unique place in Tepoztlan, right on the main street, across from the market and Tepoz Nieves (ice cream) its all close in this village. They serve a type of food unusual here, good hearty meat and vegetables. One of the best steaks in town, not the usually Mexican paper thin cuts, but nice cuts of filet and other steaks.Very tasty sauces. God Mexican food too, really nice arrechera. Generous portions you won't go hungry. Br sure to try the simple warm bread with butter and their hot sauce delicious while waiting for the main items. Drinks are good, tequila comes with a good sangria chaser and lemón. Choice of decent wines. You'll go away happy and satisfied.

Service And food Were outstanding. The restaurant' personnel were so kind and willing to help me feel comfortable at all times. A great experience!!!

Entramos al lugar porque permitían entrar con los perros, pero la comida es muy mala, un plato de fruta con 2 rebanadas de papaya (muy pobre), el café malísimo según es de olla pero parece agua, no volvería!
