Trattoria Pie' Di Castello - TENNO

Me and my family were there for lunch. Awesome meat, carne salada, good service. And nice location. We will come back

I have booked this restaurant by mistake. Thought we will be going a different place by castello . But ok why not to try something new? I should have listened to my instincts. From the moment we sat by the table I knew it will be disaster. And it was. The fact that the staff did not speak single word of English did not surprise me. Not in Italy. Restaurants where I have to request menu after sitting by the table for nearly 15 mins should be avoided. We 've got second chance to leave. We did not. Restaurants where you have to order side dish separately ok, why not but then the staff should make it clear the guest is aware of it. Because then you end up with the plate full of meat but nothing else. And when I say nothing then I mean nothing at all. Not even a small salad on side of the plate. So, presenting my huge surprise, I was told in Italian/German that I should have ordered side dish separately. How should have I known?! Why the waiter did not ask me whether I want a side dish? Or at least a salad? Have they heard of anyone eating just plane meat?! We decided to leave instantly. Needless to say that the restaurant wanted to charge me the meat. Oh yes, that very meat I did not eat. Finally they did not. However, for me this is no go place. There are way too many other places in beautiful Riva.

A genuine local food experience A local friend suggested to go to this trattoria to taste the real carne salada. We had both raw and cooked types and it is difficult to say which one is the best. I also suggest the canederli and home made giardiniera The servi was very friendly. We have a dog and he was very welcome in the restaurant I can strongly suggest to have a nice stop here if you are in Riva

Solo una parola: “spetta!” posizione: in stile al luogo dove si trova. personale: amichevole e preparato. Menù: caratteristica del luogo, con prodotti locali, ottima qualità. prezzo: ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

La carne sempre salada in cima. sia crudo che cotto. poi la torta di mele di nonna Lisa è il top assoluto!
