Anna's Restaurant @ Bluestone Motor Inn

We stayed overnight in the same room we had in 2001. Unfortunately it looked the same as it did in 2001 except fot the flat screen tv and newer air con. Everything was very clean, but a little run down. Anna's restaurant is the same,...however the food there was really good with big portions.

I used to stay here regularly for work in the late 1990s. It was an OK place to stay then. Now, the rooms are tired, dull, depressing, although clean. A staff member told me that the staff were mostly working visa youngsters so lack of...experience shouldn't have been a surprise. In the restaurant I ordered a chicken mignon, had to wait 30 minutes and what I was presented with was not a chicken mignon but a huge prosciutto-wrapped chicken breast. Too large so I had to leave half. Such a waste. I wouldn't ever stay here again. Like everything I remember about Tennant Creek, it's now all too, too depressing.

Salmon meal paid $31 for the main meal, salmon over cooked, poorly presented with big veg carrots and borcolli that was cold. Mentioned this to the waitress and didn’t show much interest in my feedback therefore I have to comment. Thought I’ll give them a...go another night. Chicken stuffed with spinach and pine nuts. I reckon the chicken was microwaved, could not taste the spinach and pine nuts, thankfully the sauce made it taste better but it was the same sauce that was in last nights salmon. Mash potato was in abundance, far out just spent another $31 on a **** main. Don’t eat here even if it easy. Ps the sauces taste like Indian spices ??.. wtf

We stayed on a work trip and were pleasantly surprised by the rooms. the rooms were fairly clean, neat, neat and comfortable. the pool was in great condition. the stand out were however the meal times (even breakfast) and very good service. our group of 3 had a lot of meal times and no one had fallen. no complaining and would recommend staying here.
