El Puerto De Jalisco - Temple

For the first time my sister and I tried this place. we were impressed by eating and service. I also liked the atmosphere. I would recommend this place to eat.

Flavors were really good. But, the tortilla on my enchilada was hard around the edges and tasted freezer burnt. Also, rice was a bit mushy. The refried beans, tostada and tamales were all really good. We had sopapillas after dinner. They were so light and airy. Loved them! I'll definitely go back.

We have been going to this restaraunt weekly for years. Not the best food, but good for their prices. Tonight we went there to celebrate a birthday, and found out that not only have their prices gone up, but they are now charging for chips and salsa! Now, i understand things are hard all over, and they do give you the first basket of chips with your meal, but EACH additional basket is $1.50! That's highway robbery! Part of the reason we go get Mexican food is for chips and salsa. If they had said .50 for each additional basket, i would have grumbled, but they probably wouldn't have lost a loyal customer! And to be quite honest, it wasn't totally just the price increase or the charging of the chips, but the attitude that was handed to us when we questioned it! No thank you! There are too many places around that appreciate their customers! You may pay a little more somewhere else, but along with those higher prices also comes good service and customer appreciation!

I was just very disappointed. Flavor.of food was bland. Never thought I would say that about Mexican food but the queso was clearly.fro.a.giant can and the taco meat was not seasoned. To spend basically $20 on lunch ..for 1 enchilada and 1.taco rice beans. Sorry but you Must season at least the beef.
