Came here for dinner with some friends last night. The restaurant itself is so cute, I love the vibe inside. Service was great! Now for the star of the show, the food! I had the Paneer Tika Massala, with rice and garlic Naan. All so delicious! The sauce was so flavorful and creamy. I have no complaints about Passage to India. Check them out!
This is Pic of Happy the owner.. Great indian food and drinks. Try it if you like indian food and you wont be disappointed. I will go back next time in Chandler, AZ
Pretty solid Indian restaurant! The smell of all the spices hits you as soon as you enter, which is when you know it's real. It's a small and quiet place, but they do play indian music in the background, which I appreciated. There was one waiter for all the tables, and he looked miserable, but he got it done. We got paneer kati rolls for appetizers (not photographed), and for our meals, I got chicken Tikka masala, husband got lamb roganjosh, and we shared garlic naan and nut and raisin naan. I loved our entrees. They were a big portion, came with rice, and were extra buttery and rich. Only downside was the naan. They had no garlic/nut raisin flavor at all. They just tasted like regular naan.
This is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in the valley , I used to frequent this place for the lunch buffet many years ago when there weren't too many options in the area. The food has remained the same but I guess with the growing options it's nothing remarkable anymore. The prices and portion sizes are good but the taste is not exceptional. The kathi roll and keema naan were good but I wasn't a fan of the biriyani It tasted more like fried rice with chunks of chicken and did not come with the yogurt raita. Cheers!
