Cafe Rio Mexican Grill - Tempe

I always enjoy dining at this restaurant. Ryan, Devonta, and Westley are consistently friendly and amazing. Their smiles and great attitudes always make my experience a joy. Thank you for your fantastic service!

I have had good experiences at other restaurants, but the lack of respect I received at this particular one was incredibly disappointing. I placed an online order and it was supposed to be ready for pickup at a certain time. However, when I arrived, my order was not ready and I had to wait for over 40 minutes. During this time, I saw over 20 people in line who had either left or received their food. There were only 3 employees working, and sometimes there were only 2 people in line. Despite being asked about my food multiple times, I was simply told that they were understaffed. In the end, I had ordered 6 tacos and I had waited for far too long.

We recently visited House and Home and were disappointed to find that there was no Cafe Rio nearby. However, we decided to give it a try as it is a favorite spot for our family. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst cafe experience we have had. The customer service was atrocious, with the woman taking our order being rude and annoyed at having to assist us. She even threw the receipt someone handed to her in frustration. She also ignored my husband when he tried to tell her his order. The other staff members were more pleasant, but the overall atmosphere was awkward and unsettling, with staff members sitting on the soda machine and a bucket placed haphazardly on the counter. The food was average at best, we have had better elsewhere.

They are looking for spending $11 for everything (enchilada, burrito, salat, etc) on this place and if someone told them this is the better version of chipotle let me tell them that - it is not. at least they would never spend $11 on chipotle and it's ridiculous that they charge them 1 for grilled bun. the eating here is average and overhyped the taste is quite salty on the burrito. If I didn't get $5 out of goodwill to it $7 meal, I would have got some canes. chipotle cafe rios.

The employees at this location are always so friendly. The food is always great, as well as the service. The manager here is so friendly and is always doing well for his employees and business. I highly recommend this location!!
