It is a very nice place, I loved being there and I will eat there again on every trip to the city...the food made by chef Brian on my first visit was very delicious, he made me Avocado Toast and on the second day I had Terril's Philly Cheesesteak, It was more than delicious prepared by Chef Terril, I felt very satisfied, mainly because of the great service and attention of Cristina Alegría, I recommend always asking for her to serve you.
You really must go here and try the food. Such amazing flavors and great choices! And lots of choices!! This is seriously one good eat!!!
Food was delicious and service was fantastic. Especially loved the potato pancake and the house made buttermilk suryp!
My wife enjoys eggs, so she suggested Netta Cheta 's. She told me they may have sandwiches. So, we opted to go for lunch on a Friday. This is a bar that serves food with the day drinkers that seem to be regulars lurking at the bar. At the other corner of the room was a lectern that looked a bit like a karaoke setup. We were promptly seated and given menus with a drink menu on top. They probably could have used another person but the waitress was well versed in the menu and was pushing the drinks. The person I think was the bartender was ignoring everyone possible. The lighting is dim and gloomy track lighting. That may be good for a bar but not for a restaurant. The lifeless menus were hard to read due to the layout and lighting. We got our food and I joked to my wife about the mis matched plates being left over from Eatsa Pizza that used to be in that location. My perception of Netta Chetta 's wasn 't helped by them having Bar Rescue on the TV. The food was the star with a couple of notable issues we had. I got tater tots as a side and they were flawlessly crisp. The fork I had served no use at a table. It only made my perfect tater tots into mash. I would recommend bringing your own utensils. My club sandwich looked good. With the exception that I couldn 't eat it the way it was made. The bun was open and meat piled in the middle. I didn 't eat it. My son got pancakes with fries and enjoyed most of it. The House Syrup tasted like a mix of butter and caramel. With the bad aftertaste, I suspect it wasn 't all natural. He found it disgusting and wouldn 't eat anything it touched. So, I finished his pancakes because I was still hungry. My mom enjoyed her biscuits, sausage and gravy. My wife enjoyed her ham, mushroom and swiss omelet. Neither could finish their plates. So, no one finished their own meal. The leftovers adorn the inside of our fridge. Our meal was $76 and I tipped $20 because they won 't get any more money from me. Summary: pretentious dim and drab skip the House Syrup. Really, demand it not touch any of your food. At all. bring your own utensils. I guess once you know the secrets of the fire swamp, you can eat there happily. Update, I 'm out of space, so I trimmed My review is based on my perspective and experience that day. This was the only time for a first impression and you 're only as good as your last service. I have no issue with shading or blocking out the sunlight. That track lighting was a design choice. I stood in that room 20 years ago and don 't remember there being track lights, but I do remember being able to see with plenty of lighting. There are lower heat options that offer different esthetics then the florescent lighting that would have been installed in that unit when you got it. The menu was low contrast, poorly laid out with a sub optimal font for reading in that lighting. The tater tots where perfect. I 've never had better, and they represent a new high water mark that will be tough to beat. I like eating them with a fork. The flatware I was given was the cheapest stamped cutlery available and the tines were blunt. I invite you to try to pick up a tot with that fork. It 's basically a sieve. Not able to be a fork and not able to be a spoon. Decorative at best though I could possibly strain with it. My son did get maple syrup after we both tried the house syrup but only after it contaminated some of his pancakes. We both found it horrible with a bad aftertaste. Now knowing it 's a buttermilk syrup just makes it worse for me. I had to eat something when I got home to get the taste out of my mouth. The impression my wife and I have, pretentious. My wife will likely eat there again because she works nearby and has a breakfast food preference. Me, my son and mom will never go back. Shawn
