Contribuiți la feedbackSo here's what happened: I ordered food yesterday and tried mobile ordering through their website for the first time. Fast forward to tonight, I received an email offering $3 off my next order just for completing a survey about my experience. Since I had some points I wanted to mention, I took the time to fill it out honestly and spent quite a while detailing my experience as they had requested! Here’s what I wrote: the main reason I wanted to order from Corner Bakery was to get a chocolate muffin. I ordered a half dozen muffins, four of which were chocolate. My friend went to pick up the order and informed me they were completely out of chocolate muffins, and it wasn’t even 1 PM yet! They mentioned that once they run out, they don’t make any more and that we would need to request an order the night before to ensure we’d get them the next day. I was disappointed that the bakery limits the number of muffins made each morning and then chooses not to create any more once they run out. As a bakery, I think they should be able to make extra batches of popular items. Additionally, I found it strange that the employees who were putting together my order did not try to reach out to me about the lack of chocolate muffins, especially since I ordered several. A courtesy call would have been appreciated to let me know my order wouldn’t be fulfilled, which was disappointing. Now, here’s the kicker! After spending time writing my feedback and submitting the survey, it then told me: “Thanks for your survey! Now, just enter the 17-digit survey code at the bottom of your receipt to get your $3 coupon code.” WHAT?! First of all, 17 digits?! Who keeps receipts for takeout that long? This offer was emailed to me over 24 hours later, and it never mentioned needing my paper receipt to actually redeem the coupon! Only after completing the survey do they inform you about needing it, and no, it’s not anywhere in my mobile account— not in my order history, not in the order confirmation email, nowhere to be found. Just that paper receipt that I definitely threw away by now. While this isn’t a huge deal, I feel it's important to warn others and request that Corner Bakery clearly state that the receipt code is required for the deal before customers submit their surveys! Thank you for your time!
I came in for my lunch break with only 45 minutes to spare. I placed an order, received my receipt and buzzer, and waited patiently for 35 minutes. When I inquired about the estimated time for my food, I was informed that my order hadn't been placed at all. They refunded my money, which was appreciated, but I left feeling hungry and frustrated, having wasted my lunch break. The manager offered a simple apology, stating that their computer froze and that it happens sometimes. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
It's a charming little spot, but it can get quite noisy. The portion sizes are small considering the high prices. When I went to pick up my food, I had to remind the staff about my order because some items were missing. The pastry I ordered was disappointing—it was cold and served in a takeout bag, which was unexpected for dining in (I've had better at Starbucks). If I decide to give it another shot, I'll update my review.
Food quality has gone down significantly at Corner Bakery. I haven't been to a Corner Bakery in a long while, and the food I received is definitely not what it used to be. Ordered the carved ham Swiss and it was pretty much like eating a bland loaf of bread. 1 slice of ham and cheese, both with no flavor. 1 flavorless sandwich for over $12 wasn't a good deal. Not a huge fan of subway but it would have been a better tasting value compared to Corner Bakery.
Food, service, and atmosphere are all top tier! Definitely recommend!
