After a dreamy golden hour gondola ride from Telluride to Mountain Village, we got to the restaurant just in time for an amazing sunset over the San Juan Mountains. We were about 20 minutes early for our reservation, but the hostess seated us immediately anyway. I was in awe of our view of the snow capped mountains and golden aspen trees the whole time we ate. Our waitress was great, super friendly and attentive. And the food was great, I had the elk tenderloin. Delicious! At our waitress' recommendation, we had the seasonal peach cobbler, and it did not disappoint! Everything was amazing. I can't wait to go back one day.
Honestly, did not have high expectations and was pleasantly surprised! We came in for brunch for my birthday and I received a complimentary glass of champagne to start. I ordered the muffuletta and was suggested to get the truffle fries on the side (great rec!! . My partner got the burger which was just so-so he said but WOW was is picture worthy (mine doesn't do it justice... don't judge . We were all very happy with our choices and the views were pretty unreal. Disappointed as there was supposed to be live music during Sunday brunch but not a knock to the staff here.
My fiancée and I ate here before a magic show. Carolina was our server and she did an incredible job, being knowledgeable and informative while also remaining personable and approachable. She really helped guide us into understanding the cuisine more thoroughly throughout the evening. We enjoyed her company so much we are going to ask for her to serve us again when we revisit. The food was delightful and delicious. We chose the cheese plate and skewered pork belly as our first course. The cheese plate had a nice balance and the pork belly was marbled, tender, and juicy. We added a pear salad and calamari shortly after the first course arrived. The pear salad was light and refreshing. The calamari order was massive and could have been shared between more than two people. Our main course was the elk tenderloin which was cooked perfectly. For dessert we shared the peach cobbler and it was to die for. All and all would definitely recommend to family and friends, a must visit in Telluride. We love this place but it was horrible tonight. Food was mediocre, kidsâ food was hobbled together (out of meatballs so a cut up hamburger patty), all food delivered at random times, some of it inedible it was so salty, had to order drinks at the bar because waiter was MIA, missing plates and silverwareâ¦just generally really bad. Might need to give it a rest for a season or two. Definitely isnât worth the
