The location is great for visiting the Big Bend area including both the National and State parks, Terlingua, etc.The rooms were clean and have a microwave and mini fridge. Air conditioner worked great. I don't think there was a TV (honestly did not even look to turn one one of there was one). Wifi was spotty but, again, we had a large group. There is no cell service at hotel location but that is pretty much normal in much of the area.We went with a large group that rented the whole place. The staff was very accommodating, even allowing us to cook family style meals in the courtyard area and sit outside to visit into the wee hours.Wilson, the resident dog, has good manners and is adorable and friendly. He especially enjoyed the family style meals.This is a very basic and old hotel motel not a fancy resort so do keep that in mind to avoid disappointment if you're looking for modern and/or luxurious.

Set the stage by saying most of us are in the region for either exploring the area or outdoor adventure. With that in mind, we want a bed and clean room to come back to at end of the day. The Longhorn Ranch is extremely clean with only the basics of amenities. Staff are so helpful and food in restaurant great. The place lends perfectly to any adventure seeking party who is into modest accommodation. Highly recommend or area and price point.

MY husband, son and daughter in law used a site at the small RV site's that they offer. Which is find because we wanted to be way from a lot of people and lights so that we could get a veiw of the night sky, and boy did we ever! It was spectacular! If you want to see the Milkyway and a night sky full of brilliant stars and planets, go there! The people were nice , we did not eat in the restaurant because we had our own food but what I saw looked good and smelled better. Outdoor bathrooms and showers were clean with good amount of water. Oh ! one more thing, I cant leave out, Willson, the resident Boarder Collie, he is so sweet ! not intrusive and beautiful. I would go back just to see Willson. The Hotel is not far from the park maybe 15 miles. And very close to Terlingua

This place is sort of funky, but I did enjoy it. Yes it is pretty basic, but clean. There is a septic issue and you can’t throw anything in the bowl. I was there 4 nights with a group and we loved the breakfast and the one dinner we ate there, made and served by the owner. Great food. And don’t forget Wilson, the official greeter (see picture). What a super dog. Pool not heated and need more chairs around the pool area; no good place to sit with people to enjoy the sunset after a hard day of hiking.
