Casa Bartzis - Tejar

Great House, stunning views, very well equipped. Close enough to town (Cartago) and attractions but nicely tucked away overlooking the Orosi valley. The people looking after it (and us) were delightful. Sensibly priced. A lovely relaxing weekend.

What an incredible place! The view from the house is stunning, the hostess was fantastic, and it was such a fabulous experience. In addition to the beautiful scenery, there are charming little towns nearby with shops and restaurants. Also in the area are the botanical gardens, the ruins of Ujarras, the 300-year-old church of Orosi, and hot springs. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Orosi is a enchanting place, and Casa Bartzis has been beautifully renovated. Vera was incredibly helpful and informative. As a family of four, the house was perfect for us. The queen size bed downstairs and two single beds upstairs on the stunning terrace were comfortable. We have been sleeping incredibly well. The kitchen is spacious with hot water in the sink and fully stocked with everything we needed. The shower had excellent water pressure and enough heat to really warm up on chilly mornings. The living room was a great spot to play games with the kids. The views were breathtaking. The climb up may seem daunting, but it is actually quite easy. We highly recommend this place and cannot wait to come back. 6 out of 5 stars.

The restaurant is located in a lovely house with great amenities. The garden and view are stunning.
