The White Hart - Teignbridge

A marvellous quaint real old fashioned pub in the heart of the town. Warm welcome from the landlord, good bitter ,warm banter from the couple of locals in at tbe time. Landlord was helpfull and accomodating when we wanted to use the dartboard. Extremely clean both inside and in the well kept yard , and a nice touch was wooden puzzles set out on tables in the bar . Tbe only downside was that we didn't happen upon it till our last night !!! Otherwise i think we would have pitched up every night. If we are ever back in the area , we will definately visit the Hart again.

We won't be returning after our two visits. The owner was unfriendly and unresponsive, often providing only short, one-word answers. It seems he has little interest in improving his business. While the place has potential, it falls short in both its food and accommodations. The only highlight was the wonderful music.

Geoff keeps the White Hart and both he and the Pub are full of character! Fabulous wooden games are on the tables and if you are lucky you may witness a game of Yuka (card game! the bar prices are very reasonable and good selection is offered. The locals are really friendly and make you feel at home.

Great pub to meet locals and have a chat and learn about the area. We would defiantly recommend visiting Whit Hart Hotel. Helpful landlord we look forward to coming back soon.
