Black Dog - Te Anau

This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I stopped by for a quick beer and a snack and I was pleasantly surprised. They offer a great selection of local beers on tap, as well as craft options from other breweries in cans. We tried a loaf of bread and cheese rolls, and despite its simplicity, the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was very relaxed, with good music playing at just the right volume. Overall, it was a super enjoyable experience.

We unexpectedly found this bar and we are so glad we did. The atmosphere was quiet and cool, with perfect background music to unwind after a long day. The food, drinks, and service were all excellent, and we truly enjoyed the experience. Thank you, Black Dog Bar!

Don’t let this little bar attached to a cinema in a small mountain town fool you- the food and cocktails absolutely will EXCEED any/all expectations you may or may not have. The staff are quick as a whip and offer divine recommendations. It was a fine dining/cinema experience in a cozy corner tucked in beautiful Te Anau.

This is a cool place!! They have there own great beer on tap, a cinema attached, a great little patio to enjoy, and it has a fireplace on the deck at night to still enjoy the outside. The staff was cracking jokes and funny and it really wasn’t overpriced. I can’t think of a better stop for the evening in this town. I highly recommend it!!
