El Mariachi Mexican - Tazewell

Ah. Where do we start? The strange smell that comes from the place? The almost incomprehensible English? The unclean and sticky tables? The dirty bathroom? No, the worst part was the food. The dry, tasteless, sloppy, overcooked food. The salsa was skillful. The chips were reheated. Eat somewhere else and if you can't just go home.

This was my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last. I don't typically go to Salsa, but I really should have. The guacamole was excellent—not overly packed with cilantro or onions. I tried the fajitas, which is my go-to choice, and I had the mixed chicken and steak. I felt it could use a bit more paprika, but that's just my personal taste. My husband had the enchiladas and loved every bite, finishing his plate completely. The service was fantastic. Muy Bueno!

The best Mexican food? ve had in our area so far. Tacos Carne Asada were fantastic.

The experience was decent but not exceptional. There were four of us, and none of our meals stood out as truly great. My fajita nachos were covered in a creamy cheese sauce, which was a bit overwhelming. I probably won't return.
