Drove out from Bastrop based on the positive reviews. I must have gotten them on a bad day. Brisket was fair at best. The ribs were good. The pork was okay. Potato salad and the cabbage were the stars of the meal. Mac and cheese was sub par. Green beans tasted like they were out of a can. I was hoping for a better experience. I cannot recommend it and won't return. Hopefully you have a better experience.

Great tasting BBQ and country sides. Moist brisket, pork ribs (short and long) and sometimes mutton. (Wow) I enjoy my BBQ sauce on the side for dipping my bread instead of on my meat's. Desert's available cakes and cobbler's. Also a few grocery items. Meat from the freezer available and can good's. Friendly folk. Get there early, or call, because they do run out of stuff. Continued success to you now and in the future.

Please don't tell anyone outside of Taylor about this place. This is our hidden gem for over 30 years. This is ours and ours alone. Let the tourists get their barbecue downtown. Everything they have on the menu is superb.

Simple family owned and operated place. You get more for less compared to the larger, more well known BBQ joints around. Service was fast and friendly. My favorite is brisket and sausage. Will keep coming back.
