I visited Astrolabe on a lively Saturday night, and while the atmosphere and overall vibe were fantastic, I regrettably encountered some of the worst service I've ever experienced.

Astrolabe Brew Bar is just okay. I've been there twice during my stay in Mount Maunganui, and both times the food was pretty average. I don't recall what I ordered the first time, but I had a chicken poké bowl on my second visit. The food feels like typical pub fare—nothing remarkable. I'll probably return since I haven't had a disappointing experience yet.

They offer the Macs beer range on tap, and this time we found their food quite impressive as well. We tried the pizza by the meter, and it was both delicious and large enough to feed 2-3 people. We really enjoyed it! We also sampled a salad bowl, which had an intriguing mix of Asian flavors, with the rice soaked in the sauce at the bottom. It was definitely interesting!
