Tarlee Take Out

This restaurant, now called Tarlee Bakery, has not improved since my last reviews. The coffee still has an unpleasant burnt taste from being over-extracted. It may be time to find a new place to enjoy my coffee.

The sign says Tarlee Bakery. On entry this looks a pretty average establishment. A large room with drinks cabinet on one side, counter at the back, a couple of rough plank tables on trestles, some high seating scattered around the walls. A local artist has paintings on display and for sale. There is a fairly typical offering of bakery goods. However, I am impressed with the care taken in preparing my cappuccino with lots of froth, and also with the wrapped chocolate we each receive. It looks as though Tarlee is going through hard times with several ‘For Sale’ signs, so support the local bakery!

Good place to stop for a break. Great pies and really good coffee. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with info about the area.

Had burgers and fries/wedges. Excellent value and food was quite alright. Friendly too. Mexican burger not as good as the lot though (specifically the patty).
