Melinda's Cafe and Takeaway - TARALGA

This little gem is a must stop between Goulburn & Oberon. If you are a lover of coffee, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The food and service are outstanding too. If you happen to find yourself there during the winter months the seating area at the side is very warm & cosy.

Taralga is a half way stop for us on the way out to the central west city of Orange, -we have had simple meals at Melindas in the past but this time we had a couple of egg lettuce and mayonnaise sandwiches and coffee. The bread was just baked that morning and we had to wait a few minutes for the country fresh eggs to be cooked but the short wait was well worth it. Absolutely great sandwiches came out of the kitchen ---we will certainly be back next time. The cafe has a large range of takeaway food but you can sit down to eat either in the adjoining room or on the outside pavement. Well done Melindas !!!

Been here a couple of times and the coffee has always been excellent and the food wonderful. Always great service with a happy smile. A pleasure to visit anytime on the way through or even just for a lunch date.

During a short visit to Taralga, I had lunch at Melinda's Cafe on the 14/9/14 and liked it. Although there are a couple of pubs on the main street, these were invaded by weekend bikers enjoying the superb weather. As for me, I wanted to enjoy lunch in relative peace and quietness. My chicken schnitzel (burger style) was well cooked and the coffee was great. I also had ordered chips but the portion was too large for me to eat. Explaining my dilemma, I was given a polystyrene container - together with a big smile. My meal cost me AUD $17.00 which, in my view, was very good value. I think Melinda's Cafe also provides free WiFi. The toilet is clean but mind the hot water of the hand basin....it's very, very hot!

I stopped in for lunch while taking my daughter for a driving lesson. Great food and very friendly girls. I had the fish and chips and my daughter had a chicken schnitzel burger and the schnitzel was huge and real chicken breast, not the formed variety.Will definitely go back .
