The team was extremely friendly and we found the coffees, shakes, baked goods, and sandwiches to be excellent. While it's easy to nitpick and find faults, overall I am very pleased that we discovered Gavroche.
Yesterday with a friend to the breakfast. the coffee served was cold, so we had the server for fresh coffee, but he heated it, that was also cold. the French brot was good with butter and jam. we had the speck eier breakfast. ate at the same place before the kovid and was much better. it looks like the standards have fallen. since we are now a group of six, they have just lost the breakfast business for the next two weeks, which is our holiday time here.
The cash register experience was poor. We had to change our orders and the cashier seemed upset, saying something in the local dialect to other employees. The croissants were also very soft inside, as if they were underbaked. I will not return and do not recommend it to anyone.
Make sure to sample the almond croissant and coffee eclair! The French pastries have a perfect price/quality ratio of 10/10. They are delicious and pair well with the coffee from Glebe, located conveniently next to the bistro. The location is ideal, right across from the McDonald's on Alona street.
If you are looking for a Place to have some late B'fast with some good bread and great cappuccino, than that is the place for you to go. Also Sandwiches with French Baguette are great. Service is/was very nice, friendly and prompt. Definitely any Traveler...visiting Alona Beach, that is a Place you should/MUST visit.
