I met an Indian guy on a hike and he told me this has the most authentic Indian food in Tanah Rata... maybe that means I like less authentic Indian food, I don't know. Grabbed take out, waited exactly 30 minutes while the staff was hanging around and only the last 5 minutes packed some stuff from the buffet, so wouldn't call it fast food. The rice seemed old, and the curry lacked salt and was filled with vegetables that seemed to come out of a freezer package. Big portion though, could eat for it 3 times if I wanted (except that I didn't want to tossed it all away after a few bites, and that means a lot considering how strongly I am against food waste)
Enjoyed the buffet. Food wasn't amazing but still good. We went for a late lunch and there was still plenty left in the buffet, plus a member of staff offered to microwave our plate to mae sure the food we picked was hot.
This restaurant serves meat, but it's still the best option for vegetarians and vegans in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands. They have a buffet for lunch, where you can load your plate with vegan dishes without ghee, or you can order from the menu. The buffet food gets a bit cold after 2 pm, and choices will be limited, so try to get there early. Everybody working there, including the lady boss are very friendly, clean and professional. It's hands down the cheapest and best Indian in town, where all the locals eat. Skip the filthy and expensive Kumar and Sri Brinchang, and walk down here for decent healthy food. Food sits out in a buffet and is cold when served. everything tasted somewhat oily and rice was partially congealed. I'm not sure why they have spicy/non-spicy options because everything just comes from the same buffet. it's not made to order.
