The Old Stone Cross - Tamworth

While exploring Tamworth on a long-distance hike, I stumbled upon The Old Stone Cross, the first pub I encountered. I decided to stop in for a couple of pints of Coke and a lager. It was a bustling Friday afternoon with many patrons already enjoying themselves. I settled into the smaller bar room and watched a cricket match while being surrounded by friendly locals. One particular gentleman, Steve, even bought me a drink and shared stories about his cricket-playing days. The staff were efficient and welcoming, offering assistance with my hiking route. Being alone on a hike, it was a joy to find a lively and welcoming pub like The Old Stone Cross where I felt appreciated and at ease. My experience not only left a positive impression of the pub, but also of the kind-hearted people of Tamworth. Much love to The Old Stone Cross for their hospitality.

The management and staff at this restaurant are fantastic - very friendly and courteous. The regulars all know each other, creating a welcoming and family-like atmosphere. New customers are always greeted warmly. The drink selection is diverse, with a variety of beers (both bottled and on tap) as well as frequent shot specials and a reasonably priced gin selection. This is my favorite spot to have a drink and a good time on the weekends, and I always feel safe and comfortable here.

Quite a busy place with a good atmosphere. I enjoyed the karaoke and in fairness can sing some. a series of age groups, but more than 35 years I would say. good Czech beer on hahn.

Great atmosphere. good selection of beer at a reasonable price. it's always full. Unfortunately, it doesn't make food.

This restaurant has a welcoming bar with a fantastic atmosphere and a beautifully maintained beer garden. The management and staff are excellent and incredibly friendly.
