Royal Palace Thai - Tampa

Great food and excellent service. The inside has been closed since Covid but they are still providing carry out and the deck seating is available.

We ordered the spicy noodles and the spicy fried rice. I also ordered some panang curry sauce on the side. My honest opinion was that the food was alright. The noodles were good but it felt like it was missing something. The fried rice tasted really good since I had the panang curry sauce on the side. The portion size is very small here. It felt like we were getting appetizers. Usually Thai restaurants load the plates with a good portion but that was not the case here. My friend ordered the tofu curry dish but the tofu curry was served in a plate rather than a bowl so there was more tofu and vegetables but not enough curry for the rice. I would give the food 3 stars but because of the portion size, I give it 2 stars.

The food was not great. Definitely better Thai elsewhere, unfortunately. There was very little meat in every dish. The portions were small overall and the taste was just so so. The bathrooms were clean and the service was slow.

I have tried so many different Thai food establishments across the country, and this simply has to be the best around. Royal Thai offers small plates, which is different from other Thai restaurants, but it is well worth it. Simply the best chicken pad Thai around! Thank you Royal Palace Thai!!

Wake up, Covid is over. Sat outside 20 minutes and no water or service, asked for water inside and got wavered off. So we walked out. I don't think they noticed. Man this place used to be a treasure. So sad. They were more interested in phone orders than live patrons.
