After arriving in Tampa searched for a place to eat a bite. La Perrera is a Colombian restaurant. Ordered a passion fruit juice with water and a teaspoon of sugar, delicious. As an appetizer, Empanadas ordered meat patties. Crunchy, delicious, beautiful texture, accompanied by a variety of sauces, e.g. hot Colombian sauce, pineapple sauce, chimichurri, Mayoketchup. I also ordered Morcilla or blood sausage with a small corn cake. It was tender and delicate on the palate, but it was just a sausage. As the main plate I ordered a Salchipapa, which is a combination of cut hot dog French frits, cheese, ground meat, Mayo. It was all mixed. I was not impressed by the taste, as it was very oily. I say it's like a clubbing delicacies. The restaurant was clean, server was attentive, friendly. I come back for the appetizers, and probably another main plate. 4.
Didn't have the opportunity to actually try any of their culinary options but the environment and ambience looks amazing
The food is really great for after a night out, it has a very family oriented atmosphere and great music! Try out their burger especial, it comes with a pineapple sauce that to me added something to different to my palate! I hope you guys enjoy this place as much as I did!
What a sad meal. The black burnt pieces supposed to be sweet plantain and the beef empanada has no beef. It?s filled with potato like Indian samosa. The yucas are so bad you can?t even chew them. I have no idea how is this a good establishment. I urge the health department to audit this place.
