Flames Indian Cuisine - Tampa

I ordered chicken masala to go a few weeks ago-I’m not trying to be too harsh but the guy behind the counter ignored me when I tried to pick up, as someone behind me that who was perhaps someone he knew, walked past me and placed a to go order. I didn’t complain, waited, then got my food, killed them with “thank you” and got nothing back for my effort. Got the food home, and it was below average-not flavorful at all. Being that it is in my neighborhood, and seems such a cozy place, I wanted to give it a try one more time in the dining room instead, so I checked the closing time on google which clearly showed 10pm, I and a date arrived at 9:20 on a Saturday evening, the greeter looked at us and said “we are closed at 9:30”. We reminded him what Google shows and he was not impressed. The place was packed at that moment-left and won’t be back.

Five of us went there for dinner. The food was two out of five. Our server was extremely rude. While he was walking by me just a one foot away, I talked to him he just completely ignored me and kept on walking away! I have never seen such poor service at any restaurant. When the bill came, I realized, why the servers didn’t care, 18% gratuity was already included. In other words, they didn’t have to provide good service because they were guaranteed 18% gratuity on a party of five regardless of earning it by providing good service. Avoid this restaurant if you appreciate good service and don’t like to be forced to pay for horrible service.

I wanted to try the authentic version of all the food I cook myself. This place was amazing and I have nothing but the best positive things to say about this restaurant. I promise you I will be back.

Food was great, was in hospital and they delivered promptly, prices are awesome. Definitely recommended this place!!!
