Empamamas - Tampa

Surprisingly, a restaurant known for its empanadas might just serve the best chicken tenders in Tampa. It may be hit or miss for some, but when it hits, it's fantastic. I've visited three times and will likely return whenever I'm in town again.

Awesome food! I ordered the Tampa Girl and Cheeseburger in Paradise empanadas....I was bit apprehensive about the Tampa Girl because the ingredients are not my favorite, but the Tampa Girl Empanada was my favorite!!!! It's so good, wish I had one right now. Highly recommend.

This was one of the places we decided to try at Armature Works. We got: Cheeseburger in Paradise Empanada Bang Bang Tacos I loved the empanada. It definitely wasn't traditional, but the flavor was great. The tacos were just ok for me. The chicken was pretty good, but there was way too much slaw so that was pretty much all you could taste. I'd come back to try more empanadas!

I was genuinely impressed by both the quality of the food and the level of service! The bang bang chicken strips were incredibly crispy, and the sauce was sweet and full of flavor, with a mild heat that lingered on the palate. The Tampa Girl empanada featured a light, flaky crust packed with tender and flavorful pulled pork, complemented by a creamy mustard/mayo sauce they call "Tampa Girl Sauce." This was far beyond my expectations and definitely not your average empanada! Their Mama Rita was also delightful—I'm not sure what inspired them to add ginger to a margarita, but wow, it has become my new favorite!

Situated in Armature Works, I highly recommend this place among all the options available in the building. My personal favorite is the Cuban empanada. The service is nice and friendly, making it a great spot to visit.
