Dairy Joy - Tampa

I decided to give tokens to the twin daughters of a friend for their 6th birthdays. I purchased $30 worth of coins for them, but when I asked for them to be put in a cup as a gift, the young man, who said his name was Sam, placed them haphazardly in a small cup with messy straw. I was disappointed with the presentation and when I spoke to the manager, Chris, he directed me to the website. I called the number provided but no one answered. We have always enjoyed supporting this local business and indulging in their delicious treats. Even our golden retriever loves getting his own ice cream cone. However, this experience was not up to par. If our favorite server, who has been there for years, had been present, I'm sure things would have been different. The staff member clearly needs to improve their customer service skills. After leaving a 1-star review, the owners reached out to me and offered to fix the issue. I changed my rating to 5 stars after they arranged for me to return and have the manager, Shirley, properly present the gift coins. Shirley was waiting for me when I returned, and I was able to deliver the tokens to the birthday twins in a beautiful manner. Dairy Joy redeemed themselves, and I am grateful for their quick response. Thank you to Kerri and Chris - Dairy Joy truly is the best!

Great ice cream stand. They are very nice and have consistently good ice cream. Glad to have them around

Love the soft serve cones dipped in chocolate. They have done an amazing job making Dairy Joy look like a 1950 drive in! So much fun for kids of all ages…1-99!

This ice cream parlor has the most delicious ice cream and milkshakes I have ever tasted. Staff members are very polite and quick. The environment is clean, safe and family friendly I will visit verysoon.

I took my daughter to this restaurant during a slow time, but unfortunately, there was only one staff member working, causing a lengthy wait for us and other customers. Despite the wait, the boars head hot dog was good value for money. I appreciated the efforts made to entertain children with Monopoly games on the outdoor tables. However, with so many other ice cream options in Tampa, I probably won't be returning anytime soon.
