Checkers - Tampa

I dined at this restaurant a few days ago and I'm still feeling the effects. I have a terrible headache, and I found something hard in my burger that felt like a tooth. The fries were cold and hard as well. My order was completely wrong. I would have returned it, but I was too hungry and didn't want to drive all the way back. They also didn't ask if I wanted ketchup on my burger, and it looked like someone had just wiped it off. I'm certainly questioning the food quality—I think I might have gotten food poisoning from this place.

On July 24, 2022, I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to issues with the robotic folder system used by the examiners, which was down. The staff claimed they couldn't assist with the situation, which felt unacceptable. I genuinely love this place and want to see the franchise thrive, but the service I encountered was concerning. It’s a shame, as it could jeopardize one of the few standout restaurants in Tampa. I noticed the owner responds to reviews, so I hope they take this feedback into consideration. We traveled a long distance to visit, and the experience was unfortunately disappointing.

The food is generally just okay, often falling into the mediocre category. The staff seems overwhelmed and hurried, with occasional rudeness. There appears to be a constant shortage of workers, which points to management issues. Overall, it’s a lackluster establishment that struggles with poor administration, disengaged employees, and food that is frequently served cold or lacks warmth.

Service fast, easy (not busy) friendly. milkshake, hot dog, fries delicious. super shady cool outside area. clean rooms.

Two guys working, sat at sign boards for more than 15 minutes. I had to get their attention to order. Get to the window and they still don’t know what I ordered.
