Acropolis- New Tampa

Honestly, we didn't need a reservation, no one was there for brunch on Sunday, but I'm glad we got our pick of tables and all the servers were so nice and fun and professional.

We waited for our food for 45 min. The chicken pita sandwich came out on a square bun with none of the sauces that were on the menu and the chicken was so over cooked it was hard. The fries were all cold. The falafel was cold. The chicken kabobs were over cooked and cold. The Pork kabobs were over cooked. The house salads that should have come out with the kabob meals never arrived. We asked for them to take home. Unfortunately for us it was the worst meal we have ever had. There were hardly any patrons in the restaurant. Not sure what the problem was but we will never go back. Who wants to spend $100 to leave most of it on your plate? Absolutely terrible food. This location is in a rapid decline service was terribly slow, had to ask for our beverages twice! Wait staff said the bar was slammed, but we could see the bar from our table and the bartender was more interested in talking up an older man instead of making drinks. Food overcooked, had to use a knife to cut up a meatball. That's not right. When we were seated the table next to us warned us of the very slow service wait staff was floundering disorganized not attentive at all. And what happen to the classy apron or polo shirt uniform? The wait staff was dressed in short shorts with fishnet stockings unbelievable and not appropriate for what we thought was the caliber of this restaurant. The place was flithy as well. We sat outside and the bench was disgusting stained all over. Really not inviting. We used to take out of town guests to this restaurant all the time, but no longer. We'd be embarrassed to do so. We heard numerous other customers complaining about long wait times, wrong orders, overcooked and undercooked foods. The bus person had on headphones that were crazy loud and was slamming the dishes around then spraying a very strong cleanser. We were terribly disappointed and will not be returning. We went to this location for years every since it open in New Tampa what happened? It's a real shame.

As always, this place was awesome. Food, drinks and service never disappoint.

Just ok. Staff need some serious training in serving/ opening bottles of wine.
