Birchgrove Nursery and Garden Center

What a delightful find. Tucked away on Tambourine mountain, I was thrilled to be able to buy a fairly rare highly perfumed 'Camilila '. We indulged in a delicious lunch at the small but interesting cafe. We chose the chicken and mushroom pie with a side...salad. WOW! just like home made. Coffee was nice and the 'homey atmosphere ' added to the enjoyment. Filled with treasures old and new, It 's a small scale nursery/cafe, offering a wide range of interesting plants and gifts. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I was thrilled to be able to also acquire a small shrub, which I have searched every nursery in Brisbane for in vain. (a dwarf miniature broom) I used to grow in Sydney. This little place on Alpine Way was a true find, and I will definitely be back. Thank you guys for your help and knowledge.

Only in Queensland will you find a florist that is also a coffee shopBut hey, why not. The coffee's good, and the flowers are better.

When visiting Tamborine Mountain the Birchgrove nursery present a welcome opportunity to smell the roses whilst having a cup of tea or coffee with cake, scone, apple pie etc. Not pretentious but comfortable within an old style nursery. It is not meant to be "upmarket" but it is welcoming with very modest pricing. locals in gardening clothes picking up plants just as likely to sit next to you.

This restaurant is spacious and easy to navigate, making it ideal for families with young children.

The café at this garden center is a lovely spot to take a break and indulge in some treats while you browse their selection of plants and trees, no matter what size you're looking for. Just be prepared to splurge a little, as prices can be on the high end. Whether you're looking for something small or towering, be sure to have your wallet handy.
