The Iron Daisy - Tallahassee

This is an excellent burrito place in a college town. The staff is laid-back, and the food is amazing. The wait time is minimal, and the prices are just right. It's a perfect spot for grabbing a bite after a football game or enjoying a relaxed evening. Highly recommend!

The menu really varies in quality. The original fried chicken tacos are outstanding; they're packed with seasoning and flavor, making them well worth a visit. The quesadillas are also excellent. The chips are good, and the salsa is decent. However, the crema tacos fell flat—they were quite bland, lacking seasoning, with only the chicken providing any real flavor. Unfortunately, there wasn't much else to enhance them, making them forgettable. The guacamole was another letdown; it tasted like nothing more than mashed avocado with no added salt, pepper, or any seasoning. I'd recommend skipping that. Stick to the basic menu items, and you should have a good experience here.

My new favorite Tex-Mex restaurant! The chips and guacamole were fantastic. The kids loved the quesadillas, and the enchiladas were so generous that I couldn't finish them. Just like the scarecrow who won an award, The Iron Daisy truly stands out in their field!

The beans and rice were pretty gross and seemed dried like they had been sitting. The rice was cold and definitely not Mexican style rice. My wife's chicken was disgusting and she tried to get the taste out of her mouth all day. It did not taste like Mexican food. We are from Texas and know what Tex Mex should taste like and it is not this. The Mahi Mahi tacos were good. I enjoyed them. The music and atmosphere are fair. You will pay $4 for chips and salsa when most Mexican restaurants offers chips and salsa for free. The chips and salsa came out hot and tasted pretty good. Employees are mainly congregating and hanging out on their phones rather than customer service.

The atmosphere was terrible, the music was absolutely awful and ruined my appetite. The food was mediocre and bland.. no flavor at all. (Had fried chicken tacos) Service was terrible, and our margarita had a hair in it and had to be remade. They did not even apologize for the hair being in our drink! I probably will never eat here again. Highly disappointed. I would give 0 stars if I could.
