There are 2 guest houses in Jao Island. one is Jao Bay Resort and the other one is Nichos Island Resort. I stayed both of them for a few nights. I will tell you the differences between Jao Bay Resort and Nichos Island Resort simply.英語での説明になりますがハオ島にある2つのゲストハウスの比較をしました。About the room Jao Bay Resort 8/10points No complains, very nice! Nichos Island Resort 6/10points The room is not so clean. There are mosquitos in the room. you need a mosquito coil.About the restaurant Jao Bay Resort 8/10points I love the foods of Jao Bay Resort very much! the price is also good! Nichos Island Resort 6/10points Unfortunately, the foods were not so good and a bit expensive than Jao Bay Resort.About the WiFi Jao Bay Resort 5/10points The signal is not strong, but you can use it at the restaurant at least. Nichos Island Resort 1/10points The signal is very very weak. I couldn't use it at all. it's useless. if you contract a SIM card before you come to Jao Island, it's Okay though the signal is still weak. but you will be able to use the internet somehow.About the Staffs Jao Bay Resort 8/10points A filipina owner and the staffs are good. no complains. Nichos Island Resort 10/10points A dutch owner, his filipina wife and the staffs are very nice! Perfect!!About renting a bike Jao Bay Resort 1/10points You have to pay about 300peso including gasoline fee for one riding (not for one day! too expensive!! actually If you wanna look around Jao Ialand, you need a motorbike. it takes about 1hours to see around the Island by motorbike. 1hours 300peso is too expensive. waste of money. Nichos Island Resort 10/10points It's free anytime. the gasoline is free too. Perfect!!About the other thing Jao Bay Resort 5/10points when you go to Jao Island from Talibon port, you have to pay 150~200peso for a private boat, but if you stay here more than 2 nights, the owner will pick you up free. Nichos Island Resort 9/10points You have to pay to get here from Talibon port by boat, but when you leave this Island, they will send you anywhere you want to go by boat free.
Lovely Lady that owns it, Miss Whin. Makes you feel like a part of her family right from the start. Great food, she can cook too. Very relaxing atmosphere. Loved this place. Water unswimable. Thats the only draw back.
This resort is perfect for a quiet life away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The owner, Windy, is good at cooking, so I came here after eating delicious food and relaxing. I recommend a combination of mango shake_san miguel like_alawindio squid
Came back after 7 months and all I can say is, I will surely go back . Every peso that we 've paid are all worth it, from accomodation to the friendly and accommodating staff to island hopping and to the foods served. It was a great and cheap experience indeed
