Legends Tainan

This evaluation is long overdue. My girlfriend and I were down in Tainan for a weekend getaway over the Super Bowl weekend in February 2021. As big football fans we tried to find a bar that opens early for the Super Bowl Party (7am in the morning due to time difference. Legends was the only bar opened, and it was also a $500 breakfast buffet. My friend and I were on a foodie tour in Tainan, so we didn't feel like getting full on our first stop at Legends. When I offered the owner (Chris)? I think... to pay at least for the coffee, he went politely back. I understand that it was probably negligible costs for him, but the gesture really turned out to me. Chris was friendly enough to offer us seats to watch the Super Bowl for free. (I guess southern hospitality is also living in Taiwan! There are many hips, trendy bars in Tainan. As far as I know, Legends is the only real Western bar in Tainan. Great for expats to cool and hang up when you are looking for a familiar mood. People are also beautiful and up to Earth. A visit is worthwhile if you want an experience in the difference bar!

One of the few, possibly the only large bar in Taiwan with a pool table. If you like a large bar with high open places and a pool table, then that is it. And the food is good.

The bar would be better if there was no cover charge. Dj is usually terrible and not worth the fee. Same faces every week, only saving grace is it's an English based bar. Great hangout if you're a foreigner with limited mandarin. However, if you speak good mandarin there are far better places in the city to spend your money. #ForeignDive

(I guess the southern hospitality also lives in taiwan! there are many hip, trendy bars in tainan. as far as I know, legendary is the only real western bar in tainan. great for expats to chill and hang out when they are looking for a familiar mood. the people are also beautiful and to earth. worth visiting if you want a difference bar experience!
