Jake's On The Lake - Tahoe City

Udon soup was awesome, however, tacos lacked flavor. Don't get me wrong they were good just not the best I've ever had. The pomegranate margarita was delicious but so was the Spicy **** Mary however the smallest Mary I've ever seen

Beautiful views of the lake. Menu had nice selection of options. The food may not be fine dining but is very nice. Staff very helpful and we had a great evening and dining experience

Just stopped to have lunch. Disappointed. The view is gorgeous, however the food was just mediocre. The chicken sandwich was bland, the crab cakes were mushy and just ehh. My husband didn't really enjoy the tuna. A big bill for a view.

I know this is an institution that's been in Tahoe City of 45 years and is beloved by many locals; however, for the price, this place just falls flat. The drinks were ungodly expensive, the wine list was weak and the food was tasty but uninteresting. The service was very nice and the seats by the window are nice, but the decor and overall ambiance was pretty sad.
