Hungry House Cafe - Tahlequah

My family of six and I attempted to dine at this restaurant today, but our experience was disappointing. The waitress was very curt and rude, and despite our offer to sit at two tables to comply with the rules, we were informed that we couldn’t do that. We were left wondering why not, and ultimately decided to leave. We’re trying to support local businesses during the pandemic, but as someone who has worked as a waitress myself, I wouldn't have treated anyone the way we were treated today. We'll definitely consider coming back, but we’ll avoid her service in the future!

Our favorite meal here is breakfast, but everything on the menu is truly delicious. If you're looking for a hearty home-cooked meal, this is the spot for you. Plus, you can't beat the prices, especially considering the generous portions you receive.

I visited this restaurant once before and waited 20 minutes without being attended to. I decided to give it another shot today, but the waitress/cashier seemed to take issue with my attitude. I ended up leaving, and she even followed me outside to say she would report me to the owner. I want the owner to know that I've tried your restaurant twice, but it will be a long time before I consider coming back.

Great home cooking! Breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns! YUM-YUM!!! 5 stars

The French toast was the best I’ve had in quite awhile!! The skillet breakfast was huge and also good!
