We were invited here by a supplier that has its own production plant nearby, the place is very cozy and in a typical Tyrolean style, the table was simply dressed and the proposed menu, with a choice of local specialties, very good and well cooked also good wine and beers served. We definitely recommend this local

We ate here mid afternoon during our holiday in Carinthia. It 's a charming place, nicely situated and near Hochhosterwitz castle. It looks to be beautifully renovated without being fussy and we found it very comfortable. The room we were in had a lovely exposed brick vaulted ceiling. The menu is written in dialect and this was a nice original touch. It seems that the owners have put a lot of thought into this restaurant and it 's well promoted and advertised with interesting promotional events. There are different special offers for every day of the week. We visited on 'steak ' day but we didn 't have the steak. The other days include backhendel on a Saturday and there 's a fish day. The food was good. We had meat patties with mash and gravy, and a meat and cheese platter. There was also a sweet noodle dish of what looked like Karnter nudels filled with a sweet nut filling and covered in melted butter. Prices were very reasonable and as I recall the main courses we had were around 10 euros each maximum. Everything about the place was good apart from the attitude of the staff. Our waitress was pleasant enough but there was a lot of bustling about preparing for the night, or the following day which was a bank holiday. We felt as though we were in the way. At one point, the restaurant manager and the waitress came up to our table and proceeded to adjust our tablecloth because it wasn 't straight. There 's Austrian efficiency and there 's a fussiness that is over the top. We were not bothered if the tablecloth was straight or not. We 'd rather have had a friendly conversation and a warmer welcome. That really was the only thing lacking at this lovely restaurant. That said, I would like to go back and give it another chance and would certainly recommend it for the food and the atmosphere.

We were four to eat late, no problem. the service was very friendly, came also in between to ask if everything was in order. as a mixed truppet of vegetarians and meats, the vegetarians remained mostly on the stretch, not here. the kasnudeln were simply world class, the salat with estragondressing a dense.

On every holiday I am happy to look back at the later. the food was so good that you could easily hide the vulnerabilities in the service. today everything fits and with your own pointed beer it is an absolute must of my regular holiday here. please keep this!

Sunday morning earlier afternoon, the gastgarten is not even filled to half, even in the local there are no larger groups. still we wait a good half an hour for our food - nix extraordinary, the diary and kärntner kasnudln. but okay, we didn't have it in a hurry, the day was pleasantly warm and we haven't been hungry yet. to order the dessert in the kitchen has unfortunately forgotten the somewhat overwhelmed waitress - after the waiting period for the main dish we unfortunately only asked after 45 minutes. Unfortunately, there was no apology that Crisis-PR would have been to invite us to the already consumed coffee or to compensate the Faux-Pas differently. but nothing like that. eating was very good, but not good enough to be able to overlook this negative experience, and only eating because there are 3 points here - for the service there should be insufficient.
