Black Gold Brewing Company - Taft

This was a great place to eat for great food. The staff was super nice and the food was not only great, but came fast. We both had the Grundburger and it was delicious. It's worth coming here. I tried a recommended local beer and it was very good. I also had the onion rings so it was the perfect meal.

I drove out two hours to check this place. I went to the hours that reflect on Google. Upon arrival to the restaurant they had a sign on the door that opened Monday- Friday 7:00-9am 1130am-130pm and 5pm-730pm. Luckily I arrived at 930. I was waiting until 1130. 1130 a.m. and the restaurant was still closed. I saw people on the street looking like locals, so I asked if they knew the weather, the restaurant even opened today. To my surprise, they said: The owner opens up when he wants, so we couldn't tell you that he's still opening today? It was only Monday. The business could put at least one sign on the window so that customers have a head over closed for the week through the holiday.

I often stay in Taft for work and this place has become my way to spot for a beer and delicious food after a long day work. The beer is amazing that you can say that there is serious pride on the little Batch brewery done here. Its classic IPA and milk neck are excellent. Food is also great (especially Thai/Asian food). Can't you go wrong to stop if you? re a local or just through.

Our first impresion was negative we arrived in Taft around 8pm and were looking for a place for beer and burgers. Sounded like the Black Gold Brewing Company would be a perfect fit. But they closed at 8pm. A Brewery closing at 8??!!! We came back a couple of days later in the middle of day, seeking refuge from a rainstorm. The owner was extremely nice, the burgers were great (Lots of choices too) and the coffee was very good! Would have laved to try their beers but we were on motorcycles. Looks like I have to try again....

Great food, beer and people. Right next to the Fox Theatre makes for a perfect place to eat before a show take the whole family or go on a night out! Has everything from juicy burgers to fresh Thai food! It?s a must stop
